The Queen Street Inn Project - Frederiksted

The town of Frederiksted, located on the western end of St. Croix, embodies Caribbean life.  With a history going back over 250 years and a vibrant arts and music scene today, Frederiksted is the heartbeat of St Croix.  Frederiksted also is great for outdoor life with three of the best beaches found in the Caribbean located at the doorstep and the rain forest just a short drive up into the hills.  The Queen Street Inn project will place all this at your feet.

Many of the buildings in Frederiksted were built after Fireburn, an uprising that saw the destruction of the town.  These buildings are highlighted by the Georgian and Late Victorian architectural details on houses designed for life in the tropics.  The Queen Street Inn will take one of these 150 year of houses and adapt it for today's comforts and needs.  The Inn will contain 14 guest rooms around a courtyard and a pool.

Operated as an Inn, the property will not be encumbered with requirements of food and beverage but will have the capacity to take advantage of limited dining revenue when appropriate.  The property will be located two blocks off the waterfront freeing development from lengthy regulatory approval and greater expense but with only minimal impact on projected daily rates.

The total project estimate is $2 million but comes with the added benefit of being in an IRS and USVI defined Economic Development Zone which provides for outstanding tax advantages related to investments and capital gains.
